As has been pointed out, the purpose for the alignment of stations that have the CW was intended to take advantage of Tribune stations that have big profiles (WGN, KTLA, etc), while leaving Fox owned affiliates out in the cold. Under the new algnment, no Fox owned stations will have network affiliations. Meanwhile, I suspect that WLVI had higher viewership than WSBK, since it was 38's newscast that was pulled.
As for the press release, it suggests that they are going back to their old logo, which, in my opinion, is a very great day for Boston!
