1) they are read by the FCC guys, owners, managers, PD's, jocks
2) memos are issued based on posted items
3) corrective actions are taken based on posts
4) people are never hired because of things they post
5) people are hired based on the knowledge they show in posts
6) people are reprimanded because they talk too much in posts
7) the FCC makes visits based on what they read on boards
and we all learn some history, some skill, make new friends
and get in touch with old ones, find out who arrived and departed.

106.5, like 104.9, benefits from a clean frequency. The nearest 106.5 is Baltimore and you don't have anything at a substantial power level (heading west) until 106.7/Hershey. WBBO, with 1.45kw at 715 feet above sea level across flat terrain, has a beautiful signal.
