While looking up something else, I found that the FCC lists Swaggart-owned WSTN (1410 AM. Somerville TN) as silent since October 25, 2006, but still licensed. Impressive since these licenses are usually cancelled after one year of silence and this is well past the five-year mark. Could they still be locked in a dispute over the transmitter site? Why would that keep them stringing along for five years instead of being forced to find a new site or hand in the license? What I'm asking is... what the heck?
