WTKK line up change.

Imus HATERS are generally Howard Stern fans. Imus' program is still great. TKK is making a big mistake here. Because of Imus' show, I became a BIG TKK fan. Now I will watch/listen to Imus on the Fox Business Network starting TOMORROW AM!!!! I will not turn my radio on in the AM starting tomorrow.

I find it more than a coincidence that WTKK has scaled back Imus as he starts his Fox Business simulcast. Does anyone know if WTKK thought less of carrying the show after it evolved into an FBN-shill-fest?

Regarding Imus: Who the hell only airs half a show? Seems like a wacky thing to do. Contractually it should be All or NOTHING.

Maybe.....his strongest hours are the early ones.

Maybe it's a way of easing him out of that slot.

Is Imus still on WWDB 860 in Philadelphia? All or nothing wouldn't work there. WWDB is a daytimer. Philadelphia sunrise is as late as 7:30 in January. Since WWDB leases its antenna array to WPEN 950, which uses it at night (this is NOT a diplex), WWDB can't operate at night. The syndicator tried to find another station before signing up with 'DB. Nothing was available. People in the Philly area were complaining that they couldn't pick up WFAN New York well enough, so Imus wound up on WWDB.

How bad could IIiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii am Michael Graham's ratings have been to give morning drive to Two Chicks Dishing?

I think it's a mistake giving him a 4-hour slot. The last time he had a 4-hour slot (partly filling in for Imus's slot I think) he was atrocious. It didn't take him long to resort to a snivling 12-year old. He was so busy going of on looney tangents and having to resort to the "heavily insult the callers to get them to call in" bit because no one was calling in. He was impossible to listen to. I hope he doesn't go in that direction again, but either way, it's better than J&M.

Dan, that's a dated argument. **** In The Morning (Stern's name for it) is on W-AAAAAAAAAAA-B-C now!

No, it's not irrelevant. AFAIK. WABC's signal in the Philly area is neither much better nor much worse than WFAN's. It's true that WABC's site in Lodi NJ is a few miles closer to Philly than WFAN's site near City Island on Long Island Sound. But the path from Lodi to Philly is all across land (albeit, some of which--the Meadowlands--has superb conductivity). The path from City Island to Philly is more interesting. After a short hop across real salt water, the 660 signal passes first over Queens and Brooklyn, where the conductivity is horrendous. But then it cuts across more real salt water. And then it crosses central and south Jersey, where the conductivity is a mixture of good and fair. With all their faults, Radio-locator's not-very-accurate coverage maps are probably the best available guide to the relative signal strengths. I'll have to take a look.

According to the R-L coverage maps, there is, indeed, no discernible difference between WABC's and WFAN's signals in Philly. A nit picker would have to give an ever-so-slight edge to WFAN's, signal however. Despite being about 10 airline miles further from City Island than from Lodi, the center of Philadelphia is just about midway between both stations' 2.5 mV/m and 0.5 mV/m contours, where 2.5 is the innermost contour on the R-L daytime maps and 0.5 is the middle contour. Philly is a little closer to WFAN's 2.5 than it is to WABC's 2.5, but as I said, the difference is too small to mean much to anyone actually listening.
