Great News. I'm sure they payed dearly for that privilege.

no...ESPN provides MNF to the local ABC affiliate each week (if the game is sold out)
Was that a consolation to the local ABC affiliates in football markets for moving MNF?

Do ABC affiliates in non-football markets also have the option to show MNF?

Showing the ESPN game on broadcast television in the local markets of the two teams involved ensures that a fan of a team in a given market is able to watch ALL of their games live on over-the-air free TV, provided that their home games all sell out.

ABC affiliates (or any other terrestrial TV stations) not in the two non-involved markets do not have the option to show Monday Night Football.

COL will not change, still St. Petersburg. WTSP is now at full power. They installed the Main Transmitter at Riverview yesterday.

The id given by the cable signal I receive as "WTSP Tampa, St. Petersburg". Since, as my understanding, I am not receiving the air signal, but another feed, from Comcast. It is not necessary to receive the legal ID if it not being delivered by OTA.

Is WTSP generating an legal ID through the OTA transmitter (from Riverview or Holiday) that is not seen by those viewers on cable, dish, or other transmission means?

And, since it is transmitting from Riverview, has it generated many phone calls from those viewers experiencing different reception other than us "antenna chasers"?

For anyone who may be interested, to the extent that WTSP may be now operating at full power from Riverview, their signal in South Tampa using a set-top rabbit ears antenna is still intermittent and unwatchable. It is obviously better than it was before, but still not viewable unless you resort to an outdoor antenna. The reception location is near the intersection of Dale Mabry and Henderson Blvd in South Tampa. Channel 10's signal is the worst of all the major stations (in fact, the only major station that is not viewable with a set-top antenna at this location). They need to press the FCC for more power. As poor as their signal is, there's no way they could interfere with Miami.

The cable and satellite services receive their signals from the output of the Master Control switchers. What you see on Comcast is the same video which they send to their OTA transmitter. In the case of WTVT, the audio and video is fed to the providers via fiber.
If I'm not mistaken, the cable and satellite providers must pass the local signals in their entirety. They are not permitted to insert commercials or any other content other than EAS tests and alerts.

Ok, but that did not answer the question, which is, "Where is 'WTSP St. Petersburg'?"
