When the great blackout of August 2003 occurred, it knocked WNCX 98.5 off the air here in Ohio and as a result I was faintly picking up WUPS on my car radio in Vermilion, OH.

I never been able to pick up 98.5 WUPS here in Western Wayne County. I've tried many times to pick up 98.5 WUPS. I think 98.7 WDZH FM strong signal is keeping me from being able to receive 98.5 WUPS signal here in Western Wayne County, not far from the downriver area.

I imagine if you could get anything on the 98.5 frequency in Detroit it would more likely be WNCX/Cleveland or WNWN/Coldwater, MI and that would only be possible if WDZH was off-air for some reason or had their IBOC turned off and you had a very selective radio.

Can you get WWWW 102.9 at all in western Wayne County or does it get interference from WPZR 102.7?

Yes, I can get WWWW 102.9 FM in Western Wayne County. I do receive interference from 102.7 WPZR FM, when trying to listen to 102.9 WWWW FM depending on what radio I use. I can receive WWWW 102.9 FM in the car with no interference.
