Peace,Regarding the tower site locations… we are considering all options regarding the best way to arrange our transition. We probably won’t make a decision until next summer.

to apply for 6.5 KW N.D.at their nighttime site a couple of months ago. He must have had some inside knowledge on this.

Or just common sense and the ability to calculate coverage areas and protection ratios![]()
CatFM said:It seems odd to me that OSU spent the money to replace the tower on the golf course just a few years ago when they could have made the change to the night site instead. I just don't see how replacing the tower didn't end up costing them more, but spending money wisely never has been standard operation procedure for OSU from what I have seen through the years.
CatFM said:By the way, does anyone know what the status is of the looney application of the Bellefontaine AM to get relicensed to Grandview Heights since it at least at one time proposed using the WOSU day tower?
gabigley1 said:WVSG said on the air last week that they have paid back 70% of their loan to the bank. Someone
posted on the R-I board last year that St. Gabriel Catholic Radio could not afford to buy WVKO-AM. They now just about own WVSG outright and are going to pay more for WVSG then WVKO-AM is
worth.

Wow.. They must really be seeing a surge in listeners since moving to 820 AM.. I know I see their bumper stickers on cars around town at least once a week..
CatFM said:Did anyone notice that WVSG has applied to increase day power to 6.5 KW ND from their night site? It looks like the new tower on the OSU Golf Course won't be there for long.

Noticed the FCC has approved this application at the end of last April. Not sure when this will be
on the air. St. Gabriel Catholic radio has been leasing the land at OSU Golf Course for the past nine months so this will save them money in the long run. On the flip side of this, WOSU and tOSU will lose the income from the tower lease.
