No, not where that's concerned, but so is 'GP, even though it's just a translator. I'm kinda mixed re: translators, personally. The FM band is so carved up these days, that, for the most part, nobody gets out like they used to or should, but at the same time, I've seen some translators get out better than expected and they do provide AMs with an FM (and in some cases, twenty-four-hour) outlet, along with their internet streams, which are by nature, twenty-four-hour LOL. Got a couple more questions, reckon I'll just look back up the thread and google them. :D)

There can be too much of that.

I haven't listened lately but when I go to the mountains I listen to WAME, which I can pick up all the way from China Grove to Morganton. But last year they had the Swap Shop going until 11, which is ridiculous. And they did it together with several distant co-owned stations. There is an oldies station in the area, but when I go to the mountains I want to hear country music. And you can't find that on FM. Well, WBRF, but its signal is probably not ideal in that area.

Re: WBRF, if you're going to Asheville, etc, I'd say that's not the station to listen to, signal-wise. WAME swap shopping with several distantly co-owned stations? Now that's something I've never heard of before. As stated above, WKRK, Murphy has an elongated Swap Shop, they call it Party Line. Good ol' 550 always seemed to have a good punch about it, back when I was a kid, could hear 55 DRV everywhere it seemed.
