WWHQ/WNNH

Anyone know what's going on with these stations?

I know WWHK is simulcasting WTPL (for now)

I kind of wondered why WKXL didn't snag either WWHK or WNNH to make an AM/FM simulcast. Not much in the way of revenue over there these days?

$money. Translater was a boatload less than a full blown FM. He only needs a signal over Concord anyway... considering how he has totally ruined that station. Man when WB, DS and others ran it .. sounded really good. Oh well... when you have money.

Gordon is a weenie anyway.

And when did the deal with Jeff and Goldman Sachs break?

I also heard that they had a real problem with the tower rent for 101.5. Remember Nassau sold the towers and then leased them back. Guess they wanted an arm and a leg for rent. Kinda of a shame.. I remember when 101.5 first went on from a broom handle on a hill in Meredith.

I wonder if Nassau has seperate deals for WLNH and WWHQ, which both are located on the same tower.
(Which is owned by Global Tower).

At this stage what do you figure they're worth?
No revenue, no advertisers, no real estate, no studios.
Leased towers and a piece of paper.

maybe they're rewriting the "deal" with great eastern and the Somalian Pirates that run Nassau these days.

perhaps they'll toss in another station to sweeten the deal?

If they gave them EMJ with the deal, that would lower the price by about 100K. EMJ is a piece of Sh#t. No signal, no audience, horrible waste of electricity.

2 stations off the air generating zero dollars.
Two used transmitters on leased towers. Throwing in a 3rd isn't worth a bucket of warm spit.
Run Forest run. 8)

WLNH isn't for sale. WNNH is.

Yes I am aware of that. The point was made about the tower leases for WWHQ and WNNH, and I was pointing out how WWHQ shares the tower with WLNH, another station of theirs. To point out the lease deal with WWHQ is probably co-current with WLNH. Understand what I mean?

Wonder why they haven't at least worked out an LMA on 99.1 and 101.5?

This is a long-ass process. Keeps us talking here though doesn't it?

I've been wondering for awhile if Mr. Shapiro and company is having trouble finding the cash to close. I'm starting to think this deal will crater.

My understanding is the purchase price is quite reasonable.

Maybe mucked down in Goldman Sacks dealings?
