Money.

Look why hasn't it been worked out, settled? Why not an LMA?

Smells bad to me. Maybe they all just forgot about it?

Transfer happened but CLOSING to the trusts and GS has not happened. I think everything is paralyzed until that happens. Also application has been made to keep 101.5 and 99.1 silent. Deal with Mr. Shapiro is likely not dead just waiting to close. Who knows what will happen with trustees and GS take over for real. Does anyone thing the value of the stations have go UP since they came off the air?

I think they will be lucky to sell them for the agreed to price with Mr. Shapiro. Didn't he also just sell some VT stations? I don't see cash as being a problem for him to close.

To the individual who called WEMJ a bad name... Please try an alternative way to express your feelings regarding a station of such history and sentiment to many of us. Thanks.

If they gave them EMJ with the deal, that would lower the price by about 100K. EMJ is a piece of Sh#t. No signal, no audience, horrible waste of electricity.

Didn't they rebuilt WEMJ's transmission site many years ago? It was a piece of Sh#t when I was there but they didn't care about the signal back then.

WEMJ still has an awful signal. It doesn't even make it into Concord and has an awful nighttime signal which can barely be received at my cottage which is down the street from the transmitter.

In their defense 1490 is a terribly crowded frequency, and the roughly 20 miles from Laconia to Concord is a long way for any graveyarder. No Class C has much of a night signal.

They must have, because in the other thread, you described their tower as being next to a lake. I drove by the tower a couple years ago, and it's located within some kind of housing development, possibly for retired people. The tower appeared to be in very good shape, and is actually a skirted design. I can say that at my family's cottage on Lake Winnisquam, WEMJ has an excellent signal and is actually stronger than WEZS, which is actually right next to Winnisquam. It's possible that WEMJ is actually closer, directly across the lake, though it would take a lot longer to drive there.

WOW... EZF has a MUCH Better signal than the crappy J. I can't here the J 15 miles across the water. THEY SUCK! TURN IT OFF! You can't here the J past Patricks in Gilford. They absoulutly SUCK ASS! 1350 is FANTASTIC. Gary has done a wonderful job with that station. There is NO ground system at the J X-mitter site which is a piece of crap... they had no choice but to go there when the land was sold next to the lake. EZF with the wonderful swamp grounding systems kicks ass.

EZF's signal from the top of Mount Mansfield is great.... I think you meant WEZS.

So what's holding up the closing on WNNH and WWHK and Q? Should have been done months ago.

Have the trusts closed or is everything happening at the same time? The delay in the transfer closing may be delaying everything.

I've heard that Mr. Shapiro has already decided on programming and is genuinely pissed at Nassau for not closing this months ago. There might be more going on here than appears...
