Kenny, seriously, you say you don’t think we agree. I think we do. Let’s test it: Do you agree or disagree with the following statements:

1. WWL is the best radio station in New Orleans.
2. Mitchell is a GREAT broadcaster.
3. Del Giorno is an icon.
4. WWL’s sports team is the best sports team in the region, by far.
5. Diane Newman is the best PD in the business.

This is NOT a joke. These are my opinions. Do you agree or disagree with each one. My sense is that you agree, yet you say you don’t think we agree.
 
See, it is YOU who is not being honest. I asked you five very simple questions, but you respond with a totally vague answer. Why won't you just answer the five issues separately? That you won't proves that it is YOU who is not being open, honest, and fair, not me.
 
1) hmmm depends. For local talk yeah, but WWOZ and WWNO would be close... WYLD is pretty tight to.
2) He's not to my taste but he's been doing it since Marconi was a lad so he must be doing something right. I could do without him.
3)Clinically speaking, yes. One definition - "icon - An important and enduring symbol" He's held pretty good ratings for a very long time.
4)Yes. Maybe by default, but the addition of JJ Mcleskey on Fridays, Steve Korte on Sunday's, and Hoakie, Bobby Hebert, Mike Detillier, Jim Henderson rounded out with Mark C, Deke B (sp) and Kenny Wilkerson is pretty good. Listen to KMOX, WSB, WGN or any other big boomers and see if they have more or even better talent. Hell, Hap was hard to listen to but I thought he was the best.
5) I don't know the lady, but if she was the one that kept the ship afloat during and after the storm then damn straight she is.
6) now stop goading me and CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING OF SUBSTANCE!

I will say that he asked me to respond to 5 specific questions because he felt I was avoiding a direct response and I responded as directly as I can and then asked for him to contribute something of "substance."
