1150's lineup had only Hannity as a bigwig; otherwise it was the Salem brand of talk with Bennett,
Gallagher, Praeger, Medved, Hewitt, etc (Don Feder I think did local talk for awhile). 1150 and 1510
both have signals that only reach certain areas strongly (then again I've been in places where 680
can be squashed by interference by high tension wires or other reasons, like 128 in Peabody/Centennial Drive area, or 114 in Middleton...all not all that far from Burlington where their sticks are)
At least they're running spots so maybe they're making some money at least. I'm not sure if either
1150's chatter or the current 1510 chatter can be described as ultra right wing or ultra left wing
either way. But not centrist either. 1200 has a stronger signal by day in many areas and Beck,
Rush, and Hannity are of a higher caliber than the rightie talkers I mentioned above. (In Beverly
there are STOP signs and someone spray painted "WAR", "FOX", and "G. BECK" on them.
Beck has a pretty big following right now, unless he has a permanent meltdown. I usually have 680 on my clock radio for stuff like Howie so more often than not I awake--and I sleep late due to work hours--to Laura)
Which is more likely:
--high ratings for 1510
--Keating W. makes WNSH "Beverly's Progressive Talk"
