But yes, Rey Mysterio has reinforced 619 as _the_ San Diego area code in public conciousness.
I'm sure Miami has many area codes...
Since 1090 is a Mexico based radio station, it's possible they can get away with it, and avoid the legal repercussions of doing so.I'm wondering if they even have the permission of Brian Ferguson, Charlie's son and administrator of the estate, to use his late father's voicetracks at all.
In fact, I now wonder if Wolfman Jack's widow Lou Smith is getting any money from this venture either.
I have no idea who has the legal rights to The Real Don Steele's intellectual property since Shaune passed away ten months ago.

Just a thought...to make the conversation about 1090 easier to keep track of, maybe combine the two ongoing threads. If that's even possible ..

It will be the MDCL+ to reduce electrical costs, which reduces power based on its modulation. I have seen in Mexico that they use any method to reduce costs. You're not the only one noticing strange things with the 1090 signal. Last Wednesday morning the signal was weak, but then back to tomorrow later in the afternoon. The same thing on Friday. Maybe, repairs are being done to the antenna system, like finally replacing the tower that went down.
If it is because of MDCL, then the engineer needs to adjust the algorithm. The signal shouldn't deteriorate as badly as it does now. I thought it wasn't supposed to be that noticeable when listening, except on the outer fringe of the coverage area.It will be the MDCL+ to reduce electrical costs, which reduces power based on its modulation. Reminds me of the "Commercial Attaché" of the American Embassy in Quito in the later 60's, Madison Monroe Adams III.Lincoln Madison…yes, that’s his real name…has everything you ever wanted to know about area codes at his website, lincmad.com.
It appears his site is having problems. I could only see it with Lynx on my shell account. Won’t work on iOS. He has a message on his site saying that it may take a few days to resolve the problem.Lincoln Madison…yes, that’s his real name…has everything you ever wanted to know about area codes at his website, lincmad.com.
I thought Pitbull called himself "Mr. Worldwide."I'm sure Miami has many area codes... but Pitbull didn't name himself Mr. 305 for nothing.
I think Wolfman Jack is also on KPRI/Rez Radio weeknights in the same time slot. There is someone.. i forget who.. that has the rights to the wolfman's shows.. the last public station i was at ran his shows and paid for them.
For a time, We almost had a 935 in East CountyNot quite, Michael.
The area codes for San Diego are (619), (760) and (858).
Generally now and has been for some 30 years , 619 is south of Interstate 8, 858 is north of Interstate 8, 760 is north of Highway 56.
I did a double take when I saw the KPRI call letters in your post. Got excited, thinking that maybe they're back .. but, no such luck 🙁I think Wolfman Jack is also on KPRI/Rez Radio weeknights in the same time slot.
Well, technically, they are back, but not in the form you'd think. At least they are still in San Diego County.I did a double take when I saw the KPRI call letters in your post. Got excited, thinking that maybe they're back .. but, no such luck 🙁
