In a slight way 106.7 is going home.. If I am not mistaken that was the location of the Sandyland Translator that was on 106.7 prior to Clear Channel moving the license from Marion to Columbus.

You are correct about the Sandyland Translator that was on 106.7. In fact, when 106.7 moved
into Columbus, that translator did not leave the air before CC signed 106.7 on the air. It took
the translator a couple of days to sign off the air so they was a signal clash on the frequency for a couple of days as I recall.

I'm positive the 106.7 tower chance will happen by the end of this year. Any guesses of any possible formats changes? I think there is a good chance WTVN will be simulcasting on 106.7 within the next year, if not another FM frequency. That said, I like X1067.

WTVN-FM will probably end up on 106.7, since it is the lowest-rated of the CC FMs. I couldn't see them flipping anything else.

Well SOMEONE has to be the lowest-rated of a cluser. And this is the same rumor that has gotten spread in Cincinnati and Cleveland. Cincinnati's WLW being simulcast on WEBN-FM. And Cleveland's WTAM being simulcast on WMMS-FM.

106.7 is providing decent competiton for both WWCD and WRKZ, so I don't see them changing anything.

I getting a lot stronger signal from X106.7 FM downtown so now it appears they may be on their new Dodridge St tower site.

That SANDYWORLD, INC, Translator, W294AH applied for and received a new license renewal. They never reported to the FCC they had ceased
operations on 106.7 when they signed off the air five years ago to make way for the then WCGX move-in to Columbus. More here:

WOW!

In what universe is this translator still on the air?

The above referenced application clearly certifies that W294AH is still on the air.
Last time I checked, lying to the FCC was a huge deal.

Kurt- buddy- what are you thinking??

If that's the case, prepare for format change in 3...2... ;-)

Have they switched their feed?

I've been noticing more lite alternative like Dave Matthews "Crash", "Wonderwall", "Losing My Religion", "I Will Buy You a New Life", "Clocks", etc, in addition to an increase in active rock-leaning artists like Breaking Benjamin or System of a Down. I've also noticed some interesting gold tracks from artists like Eminem and even Guns N' Roses.

Definitely feels like they're reducing spins on some of the nu-folk (Mumford, Lumineers, etc) that's been crossing over to NCI.

Might be the same feed Cincinnati is using for "The Project" 100.7 / 106.3, which has it's own playlist and doesn't use Premium Choice.

Then the P.C. feed itself must be transitioning because they haven't played a bunch of these gold tracks as an alternative station since they were "Radio 106.7".
