I for one love love it!!!!
The radio has been glued to it for the past few weekends!!!!!! I have always hoped someone would put something like this on the radio.
I've aged way out of the station's target demographic, but I enjoy the unpredictability of their weekend music mix. Standard formats bore me.The best thing that station ever did musically was Real Music Weekends. Odd they can't seem to hold onto it for long anymore. Yacht Rock is a limited genre, and this won't be novel after about a month.
Your mind will be especially blown by the fact there are some stations that image themselves as all-Yacht Rock, like WWMK in northern Michigan and WKEY in Key West, FL.I for one love love it!!!!The radio has been glued to it for the past few weekends!!!!!! KAZM in Sedona, AZ is "full service" with a lot of news and sports, but the music they play leans toward "Yacht Rock."Your mind will be especially blown by the fact there are some stations that image themselves as all-Yacht Rock, like WWMK in northern Michigan and WKEY in Key West, FL.![]()
I'd really like to see what WTKS's ratings are like when they are playing music.I’ve been out of the area for some time now and had no idea they weren’t still playing alternative on the weekends, although I do remember them trying some classic rock at one point. But yacht rock seems like an odd choice. Have they completely given up on younger demos?
