Well the July ratings show Y'all 106.7 at a 1.4 same as last month. This was the first full month of the Classic Country format.I dont see this station catching on in any way.
One plays currents, the other plays classics. Two different audiences for different advertisers.I still cannot figure out why WKDF is still country when they have an in house sister station.
More likely is that research and local management along with corporate consent think there are more dollars in that option than anything else.I still cannot figure out why WKDF is still country when they have an in house sister station. But I’m sure some bean counter someplace thinks it makes sense.
One of the most flip-happy frequencies in Nashville!Well the July ratings show Y'all 106.7 at a 1.4 same as last month. This was the first full month of the Classic Country format.I dont see this station catching on in any way.
Right. 9x since '99. But it has some company. 102.5 has flipped formats 6x since '05. 1430 10x since '77. 97.1 8x since '05. 104.5 11x since '71. 1370 Ft. Campbell 7 times since 86. 1590 Springfield 4x since '02. 92.1 7x since '78. 1240 9x since 1970. 103.3 8x since '68. (P.S. And, at one point, i was in danger of being booted off the board since i never worked in radio- i have personally known 4 people who did. But i've kept up with format changes, etc since 1970. I'd guess i'm in the top 20-30% on that!)One of the most flip-happy frequencies in Nashville!
Pretty impressive stats! I don’t think there is another soul that would have that data. I am going to challenge myself to seeing how many of all of those changes that i recall. What are the three to five best stations/formats you liked over the years? Jim - you can’t you play if you say jazz.Right. 9x since '99. BigA. Some of that is for you. I am
ALWAYS pushing the return of KDF in honor of you.
I suddenly feel so important! WKDA-am through the format change in '70. KDF. WRLT. 99.7 at the beginning. The Planet. Listening to the Denver Jack at work. (I can hear the snoring, so to wrap) Finally: the Alts. Shame on you, iHeart...Pretty impressive stats! I don’t think there is another soul that would have that data. KDF: This will cause Big A to put a hit out on me: I actually listened to it THRU THE ALTERNATIVE demise. No excuse for that.Radio Nashville = You lost your street cred with BigA by liking KDF. What was it that you originally liked about 99.7? Dave Ramsey AND Roy Matlock, Plaster were on, etc? I definitely think it is amazing that The Planet is still liked and respected for such a short-lived station on a small signal at the beginning. Nice list..
Y'all at a sterling 1.2. How low would they have to go to flip again? Do they give it a couple years...?
Ironically-over in Knoxville, their Duke FM product seemed to do well not too long ago. I believe it will pick up after they make a few modifications and it will end up being strong. We'll see, huh? Wishing them nothing but the best. Their success is OUR success! The latest ratings came out today for Knoxville and WDKW has a 3.8. That's the higest I recall 95.7 ever getting. Can somebody remeber what it was getting as Jack FM and Oldies?
