When I worked in Ohio, we ran Imus live. As a show of content, it was OK, however since he forgot, or appears to forget his broadcast clock, we had a terrible time of running our own spots, and his. We were paying at the time 2500 per month for his show (that may have changed since then).
We were required to run 2 minutes of his spots each hour, and because he doesn't send down a tone, we had to have a board operator, just to keep things going.
It got killer ratings, of course that was 2003 through his firing from WFAN.
