I am guessing it is a promotion that is running on all the CBS stations corporate wide. Don't look for any format changes. I am sure Lite and K-LUV will follow as well. It is probably a national contest.

That national contest ended last Friday.
They're around 25th in their target demo. As I said in another thread, they're getting beat (like a red headed stepchild) not only by the obvious suspects (Sports stations, rock stations, etc) but chick stations draw more men aged 25-54 then the Fan does. It's so ridculous that KLIF-FM, a station that appeals to TEENAGE GIRLS, has more male listeners 25-54 than the Fan.Lancer said:

CBS Plans are Now Spoiled
Because of the low Ratings that (105.3) The Fan Has received Management has decided that they are taking a new route with a music Format on 105.3, The Music format hasn't been revealed yet but they are Looking for DJ's with expertise in German Folk Music.
As for 100.3 CBS has decided the Jack imaging has gotten old will will take a new direction This Monday at Midnight with a format consisting of Classic Country. Real Classic Country. "We're Going To The Root's", Says Local PD of Dallas' CBS Cluster.
"We Will Call it 100.3 The Truck and play all the country favorites from the 20's all the way to the 80's. All The Country Legends!"

Well, the infamous format change holiday weekend is upon us... Someone said earlier they believe it should be time for AMP 105.3. I agree. There is room for it, especially since 93 doesn't even make a dent in the market. Could it be time this Memorial Day Weekend? Hmmm.
