Yikes!

I realize it's worthless 6+ numbers, but what in the wide world of sports happened to KFYI, Doc?

Los Buckeye Boyz would be happy to offer our esteemed explanation, but that would put us in direct violation of this board's management which axe all of us to refrain from political discussion. Here's a hint: con-talk is toxic thanks to El Rushbo & a certain presumptive individual.

But the BIG STORY in the all unimportant 6+ ratings is KAZG's all time high of a .9 share. Is it 14~Forty, 92~Seven or 93~Three HD~Two? All we can say is YIKES!

They were first to go live with Dallas, that's what happened. Worst attack on cops since 9/11 and they cut to news while "News 92.3" stays with beans and rice radio until practically the next morning.

Not true. 92~Three rode the net by at least 8:30p when the Nurse and I checked coverage on Ancient Modulation. Doesn't matter anyway, as this is a video coverage story for just about everyone.

back to topic: KFYI historically has had low cume and very high time spent listening. If one of those derails, then the station plummets. Because Los Buckeye Boyz have only $3.29 on the budget line for Nielson, we're dependent on other purloiners of ratings for those kind of numbers. However, we maintain 5~Fifty's problem is related more to content that appeals to even fewer listeners than the past.

Also: when you have low cume and one of your panelists goes on vacation, you don't have a safety net. Your wobbles are more pronounced.

I agree that it's getting harder to find people interested in their act. But what else do you do with an Ancient Modulation station that would perform better? You just have to ride it into the sunset.
