You "experts" kill me

Roddy,

You missed my point. Comparing a movie star to a new morning show is not a fair example. One thing, a movie star or actor can have as many "takes" as it takes to get it right...wheter it's the first or 10th film they've done. A new show, talk host, whomever has to get used to a new environment before they are comfortable enough to execute a good, polished product. If you've ever been on the radio, you have to agree. I know you're a buyer in this market, but unless you've sat in an air chair you have no idea what it's like.

I think we're missing one big point: They've been set up to fail.

First, the show should've been launched just after the spring book so they could shake out the cobwebs during the unimportant summer ratings. Second, a smart PD could have tested the characters and presentation online for fine tuning before the fall book. Then, the show would have been better and it would have made sense to market the snot out of them.

Instead, they'll have horrible ratings in the Fall book and be let go before the Spring Arbitron.... then the suits will lose their jobs for spending all that money and we'll start this cycle all over again.

Here's the sad point, there is no farm league and the suits in charge don't understand the big league and what it takes to put together a powerful on-air team and presentation. They don't get the magic, never will.

If you're telling me that people should be fair and give a new show a chance before criticizing, I agree with you. But if you're saying people not on the air should not be criticizing people on the air, I don't agree with you.

Thank You.
