The cart carousel goes nuts and there is no eng on duty ( ... while your working on the FM station (Nite shift) and the AM is on the fritz; during the last puff on a cig; while your standing out the back door realizing it's closing and you forgot the new code.).

Re-Indexing the (darn, can't remember the automation system's name ... ducell ... duret ... it was French) system at midnight and totally screwing it up. (dalet)

You actually take a date with a regular caller.

You enjoy the company of the remote groupies.

Saturday's lunch is being brought by the LATE sales rep.

You left the business, started your own (other biz) and still ain't makin' money! But it still pays better and it still makes you happy!

This might be the first time, in 5 years, I (might) miss RADIO.

I have been out of radio for 19 years now. But still to this day canot listen to my ipod without cringing at the long fades and momentary silence between songs. It reminds me of those terrible old automation systems that for some inexplicable reason would freeze. I got in trouble more than once when the boss caught me kicking those damned cart carousels. Another thing that comes to mind when I hear those long fades is "oh, oh...sounds like that dude has his girlfriend in the control room" ;D
