I think my first album was impressionist David Frye's "Radio Free Nixon"
First CD was Mark Cutler and Raindog's "Lost Souls"

Never bought 45s when I was a kid. I actually bought a few in the 80s after I got fed up buying albums based on hearing one track & finding out the rest of them were dogs. The first one I bought was Rock & Roll Dreams Come Through by Jim Steinman. It was one of my first downloads too.

First album was Simon & Garfunkel's Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, & Thyme which I think I bought at the same time with Sounds Of Silence & Wednesday Morning 3AM by them. I still buy everything released by them to this day.

First 45- it was either The Lord's Prayer by some nuns singing or Barracuda by Heart (big contrast)
First album- might have been Shaun Cassidy
(cant even remember 1st tape or cd)

First actual album I ever "got hooked on" that my folks bought: Moody Blues "Long Distance Voyager" when I was four or five.

First cassette bought: Billy Joel "Piano Man"

First CD bought: Yes "Yessongs"

First vinyl bought: (in a retro, hipster kinda way) Traffic "Shootout at the Fantasy Factory"
