Ahh, the old Washington St. studio. I got to visit there once. I'm much more familier with the way the 10 Columbus Blvd studios were back in 1989 (when I was there quite often), I haven't been back there since. That Autogram board at WTIC bring back memories, that's the type of board WESU used to have back in the 80's (and possibly up until the mid, maybe late 90's) in both main studios, they now have your typical slide faders. I got to see that board at WRCH up close once too, Thomas Ray was the engineer there at the time I believe, and the same announcer in the footage was in the studio when I was there and he was explaining how they would come in live and toss it back to the automation system and then in an robotic voice he said "I am not a robot", right after that I got to listen to the on-air feed of WRCQ in stereo from the in studio headphones, it sounded quite good, in fact, that might be the only time I've ever heard a station in AM stereo.
Speaking of old boards, I wonder what they did with those old Autogram boards at WESU? They also used to have a really old Harris board in the storage room before the big move, I have a feeling they don't have that kind of luxury in the new location.
Ok, it's late, I'm babbling again, and not too coherent either.
