Zakk on vacation again or... one blip fills in for another

I actually saw a church in south Georgia years ago that spelled "Baptist" that way on their sign. Probably spent a thousand dollars on it - had lights and fancy woodwork on the top....it was a grand sign!
But there, engraved on the very top, for Gawd and all to see, was "Second Babtist Church." I always wondered if they were passing around snakes in there.....
Ever since, I try to remember to spell it that way - it's all part of being unwashed.......
As the future(or current) PD were you satisfied with Zakk's performance on the pre/post game show? I thought he did well-
 
Hey, when I was about 7, I went to an Orioles baseball game and saw a sign on the parking lot that said "No pedestrians." Only I thought it said "No presbyterians." Went home and told my mom.
 
I don't understand why they don't just utilize someone at the station in the mornings? I'm thinking just bring Orf back to the mornings to fill in for Zakk, or is Wheeler worried he'll see what a blunder it was to get rid of Holly and move Orf to the witching hour?

This station has a lot of talent all week long, but nobody knows how to use them. I love Yvonne (glad she is back on the air), someone mentioned Reverand Andy - I like his voice and miss his old show, there's Aaron (Erin?) who is amusing and they just don't do anythign with these people. Thank god the death touch of Wheeler hasn't affected Margot.

Bring back The Greaseman in the mornings! ;) ;D

Aside from the Greaseman recommendation, you've touched on a snapshot of exactly what is wrong with Dave.

By all accounts, they should be doing well. It's good music that reaches a desirable Atlanta demo with money. Unfortunately, they've made an unbelievable string of bad decisions in how to present their product. Horrible imaging, mind-numbingly bad morning shows, and format tweaks every 10 minutes. And Michelle Engle and Mike Wheeler are clearly to shoulder the blame (although I guess you could say it's ultimately Rick Caffey for hiring them and keeping them both in their positions way too long in the first place).

You've got some real soul searching to do when the you start making the Dickey brothers look like geniuses.
 
Yeah, The Greaseman comment was mostly for giggles. I do miss him, but don't think now is a good time for him in Atlanta.

But thank you for elaborating more eloquently on what I had said. :)

Hey, thanks. You can catch me spinning rockabilly music again Tuesday nights on WREK 91.1 at 9PM. The guys at Longboards & Longhorns were kind enough to bring me in as a co-host.
