You forgot the third group. People who don't know jack about radio, yet continue to troll and tell lies on a daily basis.
Translation: Anyone you don't agree with. It's funny how some guy takes a six week radio course and manages to get a job for just over minimum wage in the boonies and assumes he "knows jack" about radio - especially about major market and national radio.
And if you are going to accuse anyone of lying, then you are obliged to provide proof that they lied. And for someone to have lied, not only do they have to make a statement contrary to fact, they have to have known it was contrary to fact and had an intent to deceive. So, where is your proof?
And stop twisting people's statements when you accuse them of lying. Nobody has said Rush (or anyone else in the big leagues of radio) has always used paid callers or that all callers are paid. So, if someone did get through and got on the air with Rush, that is no proof any other callers on the show were not paid (and told what to say).
For the record, I have no problem with Rush (or anyone else) using paid callers. This is show business. The show is for the listeners, not the callers. Rush has often said, it is the callers' job to make the host look good. If any paid callers do that, they've earned their fees. As I said, I have no problem with paid callers. I wonder why you do? Other than you don't get to use them. You also probably don't get to use screeners, board ops, researchers and writers either. Are they also bad?
Or can just not stand anything that makes your hero seem less than completely and extemporaneously brilliant?
