Markets where all 4 major networks are on UHF

....and going from the other thread. This will probably be a really small number, but I'm guessing some exist. Don't they? ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC

Fresno is one of these markets where the 4 networks are on UHF. KFSN ABC 30, KMPH Fox 26, KSEE NBC 24 and KGPE CBS 47.

They're all UHF, but not on those RF channels, other than KFSN:

KFSN 30.x: RF 30
KMPH 26.x: RF 28
KSEE 24.x: RF 38
KGPE 47.x: RF 34

Plenty of markets with the Big 4 on UHF. Heck there are 3 UHF Islands off the top of my head
Madison, WI
Ft Myers, FL
Omaha, NE

all licensed stations there are on UHF (again if we are talking digital)

"VHF" and "UHF" mean as much to PSIP (and digital cable & satellite TV) as "frequency" means to internet streaming. They're meaningless in those contexts.

Can I get that in English?

Since the OP didnt mention analog or digital I assume we have to go off digital. I was making the point that those 3 markets all the licensed stations in the market are on UHF. There are plenty that are mix and match and a few (albeigh short markets) that are VHF only (but Bangor Maine is a VHF only market that all Big 4 are on VHF)

In something resembling English, that means that PSIP channel numbers are essentially arbitrary, only assigned by the FCC based on the original analog channel number. They have no direct relation to the RF channel that the station transmits on, although they can be the same. PSIP Channel 2 can be on RF Channel 2, 7, 14, 51, or anything in between. It doesn't matter to the end user. He/she sets the TV to 2.1 and the TV finds the RF channel.

And, of course the concept of a physical transmit frequency is irrelevant on the TCP/IP-based interwebs.

anywho since Keith thinks he's going to be cute and use $5 words  lets get back to the topic

Biggest market with Big 4 on UHF..technically Chicago
NBC RF29 (5)
ABC RF44 (7)
FOX RF31 (32)
CBS RF26 (2)...yeah I know its a fill in translator but I have a feeling most folks with indoor antennas use that instead of RF12 :)

Portland, ME on a technicality
NBC 44 (6)
CBS 38 (13)
FOX 23 (23)
ABC 26 (via translator..they are also on RF8) 8
