TV Show Cancellation Thread (including ending ones)

Playing house on USA has just been canceled.

“Playing House” has sadly been evicted.

The USA Network comedy from Lennon Parham and Jessica St. Clair has been canceled after three seasons. The project from Universal Cable Productions premiered in April 2014.

“USA Network and Universal Cable Productions want to thank Jessica, Lennon and the entire cast and crew of ‘Playing House’ for being amazing partners for three incredible, hilarious seasons,” the network said. “It was an honor and privilege to be part of this best friendship. Once a Jammer, always a Jammer.”

Me, Myself and I "essentially cancelled"

CBS is pulling rookie sitcom Me, Myself & I off the air after six low-rated episodes, TVLine has learned. The new Monday entry starring Bobby Moynihan, John Larroquette and Jack Dylan Grazer premiered in September to 7.5 million total viewers and a 1.6 demo rating, but at last tally delivered under 4 mil with a 0.7 — placing last for the night among CBS’ new Monday sitcom block.
Freshman comedy 9JKL shifts to 9:30 pm on Nov. 6, replacing Me Myself & I. A Big Bang encore will air at 8:30 that night in its place. Then beginning Nov. 13, Man With a Plan will come off the bench and kick off its second season in the now-vacant 8:30 time slot.

sweet. I love "Man with a plan" :)

Me too.

I was really enjoying "Me Myself & I". Now we wait for the same fate for "9JKL". It's been propped up by "Big Bang Theory". That has ended.
 
I think the problem is that it was three different shows. All good, but you had to keep going back and forth. Although jumping around seems to have worked on "Once Upon a Time".
 
Me, Myself and I wasn't funny. At least to my eyes and ears. 9JKL is just as stupid. And how did Superior Donuts get another season when I haven't laughed once watching it?

I'm going to call it the "According to Jim Effect." That's when a show isn't funny, and gets only passable ratings, but limps along for about 3 extra seasons because nobody seems to have a better idea.

I think those aired this week were the original airings. Night 1 was Wednesday and Night 2 was last night.
