What exactly are they selling on a non commercial station?
Not a Woodlands station - CoL is New Waverly, and the transmitter is somewhere near Coldspring. Signal does not reach The Woodlands, the 60dBu contour ends north of Willis...
That mix of music seems like a quick way to go out of business. The last time I heard KNLY it was playing EDM, pop & country. Interesting mix of music.
I'd have to agree on the music mix. Folks might like several styles of music but rarely do they like very diverse music styles mixed.
What a surprise. It is also not a surprise that the name ‘Dan Alpert’ appears. Finally a resolution for KNLY. It looks like a jury trial for fraud and forgery has been set for October. Case is on Harris County District Clerk website. 201837760
Ironically, the NW corner of The Woodlands has an old settlement named Egypt. The creek that feeds Lake Woodlands is just south of the town. The owners are probably out of their minds, but I guess denial isn't just a river in Egypt, and delusia isn't just a region of Spain.
The studio probably has a good view of the Nile with the Woodlands Waterway through the township business district and the lake to the west. The KNLY studio is on Grogans Mill Rd. in The Woodlands which is nowhere near the transmitter in the middle of Sam Houston National Forest between Huntsville and Lake Livingston.
I've had many sellers on commission only or commission and a travel allowance. But that only worked with a very highly rated station where the seller was given an active account list which pretty much guaranteed an income of $100 to $150 a year on sales of $1.5 to $2 million annually.IGood rule of thumb: if you want a salesperson for commission only, ownership must go out and find the merchants that will buy consistently so they can hire someone and give them an account list that can cover their expenses, at least barely. To manage a salesperson you really need to understand sales and what their day is like.
