He should retire. He never prepares for the broadcast and his senior moments are becoming more frequentI just wonder if this health problem episode could cause him to retire in the near future?

I feel like Handel's been on his last legs for a while now. A lot of mornings you can tell he's phoning it in. I don't know why he doesn't just retire and focus on his surrogacy practice full time.Handel out again. This time all lips are sealed. Not a good sign. Maybe he is talking some time off to give his brother marginal legal advice..
He's turning 70 this year. That might be his plan.He should retire. He never prepares for the broadcast and his senior moments are becoming more frequent
Seventy is the new 50. It's Ancient Modulation, and Handel is an institution on a station that still brings in the $$.He's turning 70 this year. That might be his plan.
Matt Siegel is 71 and he's still the morning host at WXKS Kiss 108.He's turning 70 this year. That might be his plan.
I think he sold the surrogacy practice. He has a cookware business with his best friend in Las Vegas. Maybe that"s where he will wind up. He has hinted retiring there..no state income taxI feel like Handel's been on his last legs for a while now. A lot of mornings you can tell he's phoning it in. Looks like he and his partner sold the surrogacy practice for $5 million. $4 million at closing and $1 million earn out. They are suing for the earn out.I think he sold the surrogacy practice. To be frank, he's had a very rough year. Some info:
Handel doesn’t have a surrogacy practice anymore.
He had to go back to the hospital with some new unspecified affliction.
No on air explanations because nobody knows what the issue is or when he will come back if he ever does.
I feel like he's phoning it in more than half the time. Maybe that's just my interpretation. I know he's been in the radio game a good long while, and I can't imagine he loves getting up at 3 am every day. I'd probably want to retire as well, and that's without all those other issues. To be frank, he's had a very rough year.
Can't speak for the man, but if it were me? I'd say "screw it," finish up my current contract and retire. It really comes down to if he is still having fun doing the show or not. Selfishly, I'd love him to do the show another decade. But I don't get a vote.
- The pandemic throwing off his routine
- His brother got busted for concealing assets
- He and his wife (of over 25+ years) separated
- His back gave out
His Mom also passed away recently. To be frank, he's had a very rough year.

Also, I had no idea his brother was in so much trouble. Those charges are pretty intense. He's facing 120 years in prison? I hope Bill's not involved in that in any way.
Potential witness and/or victim. He’s not necessarily a victim.Oh gosh, that's actually pretty rough. I mean, even if my brother was a lawless bastard, I'd still want to be able to at least wish him a Happy Thanksgiving or whatever.
If he's listed as a potential victim, I wonder if Bill lost money to his brother on some kind of investment — add to the rapidly growing list he's dealing with. Like I say, I'll be heartbroken when he wraps up his show — and completely understanding why he would.
And they dusted Kennedy off to fill in for him this morning. Why not just let Wayne continue to host the show? He consistently does a pretty good job.Aaaaaaand he's gone again.
I assume it was the same back issue? He is out for medical issues. He did speak about it on the 9 AM hour.
