Heard something puzzling on 1260 about 25 minutes prior to sunrise today. Had the radio and antenna aimed NW and was getting a mix of KTRC in Santa Fe and XEL in La Paz. Around 7:20 CT there was a weak and brief fadeup with a country song, "She Got Me There" by Darren Kozelsky, followed by weak talk with "...today's best...KWFO...FM" ID.
KWFO is 102.1 in Driggs, ID, and doesn't appear to have an AM affiliate. There is a 1260 in that same reception area, KNBL in Idaho Falls (49 miles from Driggs), but it plays classic hits, IDs as Cannonball 101 (confirmed later via its stream), and doesn't seem to have any connection to KWFO.
Anyone have a clue as to what I might've heard? I've listened to the recording many times, and it's definitely KWFO (not KWYR or KWSH). Thanks.
