I have noticed this as well up here in Carlsbad and Oceanside. AM 760’s nighttime signal is prone to fading at night up here which used to never happen. It’s been this way for several months now. Also, I noticed that when I travel back home to Phoenix, AM 760 KGB is now a semi-reliable night-time DX catch in Phoenix whereas before that would never happen with their directional night-time signal. So I would agree - something is wrong with the transmitter as I Heart Radio is not switching to their 50,000 watt night-time pattern and is instead keeping it on their 5,000 watt non-directional pattern 24/7. Only explanation for the night-time signal conditions I and others have experienced recently with KGB.
