Or just remain locally owned and play by the rules like the big guys do.I say just sell them all and let someone like IHeart to purchase them.
They dont. At least not on paper. KMJQ is across the Fort Bend Toll from KBXX on a slightly shorter stick. It could be that UrbanOne is just done with IBOC. Back when I had an HD Radio, I remember UrbanOne neglected their HD feeds to the point where they sounded worse than their analog feed. However keep in mind that both stations transmit from the same tower at the same antenna height.
The FCC database, FCCdata.org, and Radio-Locator all have KQBT and KMJQ co-located.They dont. At least not on paper. KMJQ is across the Fort Bend Toll from KBXX on a slightly shorter stick.
KBXX and KROI were both still in HD when I checked earlier. Just HD-1s, no additional subchannels, which has been the case recently. It could be that UrbanOne is just done with IBOC.
93.7 changed their RDS call sign to KDUN and from what I’ve seen just says beat and not the song. 102.1 doesn’t have a RDS call sign. I think both stations only have the scrolling RDS not the longer text.Different how? This morning KQBT said THE BEAT on their RDS.
And Magic had an add for a lawyer.

Must have been brief. I see it on now.KRBE has HD2 off today.
Before their RDS call sign was something random that wasn’t KQBT"Delilah, born and raised in Reedsport has a vision - bringing radio love back to her hometown..."

I doubt this is related, but...
My car had shown BEAT HD1, BEAT HD2, etc. Similar to 95.7 as SPOT and 100.3 as BULL.Before their RDS call sign was something random that wasn’t KQBT
That's the HD call, nothing to do with RDS.My car had shown BEAT HD1, BEAT HD2, etc. Similar to 95.7 as SPOT and 100.3 as BULL.
Oops. Mine displays RDS before the HD clicks in, thought that was BEAT as well. That's the HD call, nothing to do with RDS.
RDS call signs are determined by the PI code. You can use this calculator to enter a call sign, and it'll spit out the PI code being transmitted. Note that the RDS calls on iHeart stations don't match - this is because the first digit of the PI code is changed to a 1 (for example, KJR-FM displays KDOC/195A instead of KJR/995A. https://radio.feralfox.net/tools/rdsreverse.phpOops. Thanks, I didn’t know that about iHeart stations. That makes sense why most of them are random. KQBT is 3A6D but if you change the first one to a 1 it’s KDYR which is what it used to be.RDS call signs are determined by the PI code. KSML is FM 101.9 in Huntington-Lufkin and can't be heard here unless extreme tropo is active. On a quick check, I can now hear KSML in Humble, so HD is definitely down.
In Willis I’ve been getting a weak KBXT and K272FY outside of their coverage areas now. And weak Austin tropos brings in KPEZ.KSML is FM 101.9 in Huntington-Lufkin and can't be heard here unless extreme tropo is active.
