The audio on 105.1 sounds awful today. It’s interesting, every time it has sounded this way, a format change has come. I don’t think those could or should be connected nor do I think a format change is coming there. But the timing is odd.Don't know but I heard them today promoting ALT 105.1.
I disagree the city has plenty of country music. They wouldn't do any better then they are now. Country would be a waste of that signal. Anyways it won't happenAlpha is missing the ratings and revenue boat. The country audience here is being way underserved and that format has generated big dollars in the past. Country on 105.1 just makes sense. It's a horrible signal but puts a city grade signal over the big country zip codes. Alt is a waste on that frequency when the 2 people that would listen to it can't pick it up in the east end.
There isn’t much to miss about Jack FM, 102.3 was on the same satellite feed that practically every other Jack FM was using. 100.5 handles the format much better.I’ll be sorry to see 102.3 Jack FM go. I really liked the variety but I guess you can get that on 100.5. I would have preferred an Active Rock on Sports format on 102.3, but they didn’t ask me lol. Good luck to the new station.
Now we wait for potential changes at 790 and maybe other IHeart stations….
NoAny chance this is just a temporary format?
Adult Hits, Jack FM is number 1 in Nashville. There isn’t much to miss about Jack FM, 102.3 was on the same satellite feed that practically every other Jack FM was using. 100.5 handles the format much better.
I don’t think The Rose will last but so far it’s interesting and has some different stuff, so there’s that.
Obviously not local, but I wonder if they'll add Delilah to the lineup. Although admittedly, her show isn't quite as big of a deal as it was back in the 90s and 00s and lately seems to be missing from a lot of (though not all) larger markets and seems to have become more of a small town thing.According to this article from Inside Radio they will add local personalities soon. That was something JACK didn't have.
I enjoy the station so far.
