Changes at 102.3?

They should have kept it 102.3 the max and kept Christopher Randolph and Sarah Jordan n the AM.

I know Sarah has since left radio but how many formats has that frequency had over the years???

Don't know but I heard them today promoting ALT 105.1.
The audio on 105.1 sounds awful today. It’s interesting, every time it has sounded this way, a format change has come. I don’t think those could or should be connected nor do I think a format change is coming there. But the timing is odd.

Alpha is missing the ratings and revenue boat. The country audience here is being way underserved and that format has generated big dollars in the past. Country on 105.1 just makes sense. It's a horrible signal but puts a city grade signal over the big country zip codes. Alt is a waste on that frequency when the 2 people that would listen to it can't pick it up in the east end.

I disagree the city has plenty of country music. They wouldn't do any better then they are now. Country would be a waste of that signal. Anyways it won't happen

102.3 now soft rock "The Rose". With no soft rock in the market, they will do really well but only if they market it. This format sounds like a very focused Classic Hits that could be a problem for WAKY as well. Summit made a huge $mistake$ abandoning the lite rock format.

I’ll be sorry to see 102.3 Jack FM go. I really liked the variety but I guess you can get that on 100.5. I would have preferred an Active Rock on Sports format on 102.3, but they didn’t ask me lol. Good luck to the new station.
Now we wait for potential changes at 790 and maybe other IHeart stations….

There isn’t much to miss about Jack FM, 102.3 was on the same satellite feed that practically every other Jack FM was using. 100.5 handles the format much better.

I don’t think The Rose will last but so far it’s interesting and has some different stuff, so there’s that.

So basically we have the same format 105.1 had in 2013. The rose why??? I would have resurrected Louie. Louie 102.3 The rose that's just as bad as when they flipped Lrs in summer of 99 to love 102.3 and similar format to.

We shall see. Wish I had a dollar no 20 dollars for every time 102.3 has flipped...I'd be rich

Adult Hits, Jack FM is number 1 in Nashville.

According to this article from Inside Radio they will add local personalities soon. That was something JACK didn't have.
I enjoy the station so far.
Obviously not local, but I wonder if they'll add Delilah to the lineup. Although admittedly, her show isn't quite as big of a deal as it was back in the 90s and 00s and lately seems to be missing from a lot of (though not all) larger markets and seems to have become more of a small town thing.

But the whole thing behind the jack format is not to have jocks only voiceover guy with the snarky 1 liners. The guy that voices the jack formats in big cities has the funniest one liners.
