No, they'd just cancel it. The fan(s) is/are primarily in a demographic that is shrinking (due to mortality) and undesirable to advertisers. For many of the people you assume will "revolt," there pretty much is no tomorrow, and you can't blame CBS for that!
Rumor is they have approached Proctor & Gamble (P&G) about streaming some of their now cancelled soaps (most likely ATWT, GL, AW) and P&G declined stating that P&G is out of the soap business.

I read that an actor who was on a P&G soap had stated she was told this. But because I didn’t hear her say it in an actual interview I consider it a rumor. However I do find it believable as the only cancelled daytime “soaps” that can be streamed or are in reruns are “Dark Shadows” and “The Doctors.” P&G did have a number of episodes from the 80s (I believe) available on an AOL channel (pre-streaming) years ago. You’d think they’d want to try and monetize old episodes in their vault by licensing them for streaming or selling them to someone else to air.
I believe B&B has a strong international following. I'm sure CBS makes good money from it.

Entirely depends on the market
Electronic computers were developed during WWII but were almost exclusively for scientific and military applications. Business apps came along in the 50's (banking and accounting). Much more widespread apps in the 60's, 70's and early 80's but then personal computers took over in the last two decades of the 20th century. It wasn't until the mid 80's that the average non-IT person became aware of the plethora of 'civilian' apps available to them. Now they are everywhere. It took a very steep decline in the cost, size and operation of computers to host the wide variety of machines and apps we have today. And the intersection with networks and 'other' apps such as point of sale and robotic apps blew the lid off the industry. Now you can't get away from the damn things.
Don't forget that the average person didn't know about networks until the 90s.
They are long since out of the business.
Agree they should just sell library. Doesn’t make any sense they don’t want to try and monetize their assets. But if they were still in the business why wouldn’t they attempt to have those YouTube videos taken down, as they did when the shows were still on the air.
