The latest on 102.5

Hmmm...the way they word it "Your stars are still on Kiss 98.5" maybe they should drop Kiss and keep it as Star 98.5.
"Your STAR station..." but who really knows what's going on over there...

Kiss has usually been the dominant station in the cluster. They've already announced it's being sold. I don't expect them to drop the Kiss moniker, but I do think that they'll try to daypart it to try to attract former Kiss listeners during the daytime. Maybe they replace some of the syndication with former Star hosts. Maybe they don't.

I think this will be the end of Rob Lucas decades long career in radio
Perhaps not. Lucas has been a stalwart in morning drive at Star, and would be a fine fit for middays at Kiss. It seems most tawdry to predict or anticipate the demise of a person's career, even as an objective assessment. Could be that Townsquare realizes Lucas' worth and invites him to join the Breeze. His Facebook posts note that he's also become a licensed real estate agent, so it appears Lucas is well prepared for any hand that's dealt him by "Sick Cents A Share Broadcasting."

If memory serves, back in the day Kiss used to do dayparting of their music. Insofar as "the syndication" part goes, keep in mind that that was Audacy-driven(Julia(from Chicago's B96)in middays, Bru(who does his thing from L.A.)in PM drive).

I'd think that the first scenario you mentioned is more likely, considering that the Breeze's lineup is pretty much set.

On air Imaging is reduced, most imaging is redirecting to 96.5.

"Very Sooon, this station will cease to exist, Your new home for fun is just down the dial at Kiss 96.5 "

They are just dumping the Star brand it seems.
