WBNX Fall 2022

I will add that the new fall local lineups appear to be underwhelming. I can see it only get worse from here.
Not a soap opera watcher myself. But am I the only one who see's NBC cancelling or moving it's "NBC News Daily" 1 P.M. Newscast mid-season and "Replacing it" with "Days of our Lives" under the guise of "Because you viewers asked for it's return"...

Can't fathom how NBC thinks another 1 P.M. block of news is needed.

Agreed - Fall lineups appear to be underwhelming, and yes it will get worse from here. (Stream or watch news/talk/court shows)

WJW seems to be heading more and more towards being more local 24-7. New Day Cleveland looks to become more like the old Morning Exchange. I will say it is better to expand New Day instead of launching yet another newscast.

Fox 8 now has 15 1/2 hours per weekday of local programming:

11 1/2 hours of live news
2 hours of NDC
2 10p news replays in the overnight hours

Regarding the syndicated stuff, 3 longtime daytime stalwarts called it quits (Ellen DeGeneres, Maury Povich, Wendy Williams) and are essentially replaced by Jennifer Hudson, Kamaro Brown and Sherri Sheppard, and a couple of other talkers (Nick Cannon, The Real) got axed with no replacement, leaving stations more hours to play with

WBNX pretty much sucked up all the top level syndie stuff as they have the room for it, and everyone else seems content to just get more local

Days was moved as way way to lure people to Peacock, thinking soap fans will pay to keep watching their "stories".

WBNX just released their 2023 fall schedule.

You Bet Your Life With Jay Leno will be off the schedule, replaced with Funny You Should Ask and People Puzzler, along with a new show Person, Place or Thing. Yet, the 3 daily hours of Family Feud will still remain.

Well, 55 is now gonna be straight up game shows from 3-10p come fall.

People's Court and Judge Mathis are gonna be best of shows, as they both ceased production this year.

Schedule is pretty much divided into nice neat blocks:

sitcoms early mornings
true crime and talk late mornings
court shows middays
game shows afternoons through the evening
sitcoms late evenings
dramas late nights

Well, now we know it's coming back, just not on 55.

Only place I could see it popping up is 43, since they'll have some space, but it isn't a slam dunk.
Unless something recently changed since then and the program was canceled or put on hiatus. I'm pretty sure the interview took place after Leno's second mishap.

EDIT: Quick Google search states that the show is on hold due to the writer's strike.

There's a new streaming channel on PlutoTV that's Family Feud Classic, which runs the Richard Dawson and Ray Combs seasons in a random pattern, plus there's a Family Feud channel on The Roku Channel that runs the Louie Anderson seasons, and might go into the Richard Karn episodes once they get that far. If you want more Feud, you can get it for free!

As far as WBNX's Fall lineup goes, "Justice for the People" seems like a rebooted People's Court, like how Judge Judy took her new show to Freevee and called it "Judy Justice," or how the "Hot Bench" crew moved there as well and rebranded as "Tribunal Justice."

I haven't watched it since I dropped cable TV, but is "25 Words or Less" still done all remotely, or are they back in the same studio now?

No Cribbs on either WOIO or WUAB anywhere as of September 11.

Also, Dateline is moving to WKYC on the same day.

WUAB is scheduling court shows between 9am and 11am, and again from 12pm to 3pm. They are airing:

9am Hot Bench
10am Equal Justice
10:30 Cutlers Court

12pm Court Cam
12:30 Supreme Court
1pm Paternity Court
1:30 We the People
2pm Mathis Court

Then, 43 is airing Dr. Phil reruns at 3pm, followed by the Drew Barrymore Show at 4pm.

InvestigateTV+ will launch on WOIO on September 11 at 9:30am.

43 is also going to air 48 Hours weeknights at 11p.

3 and 43 essentially swapped Dateline for The Best of Dr. Phil

Court Cam is more of a viral video show than a traditional court show. It's hosted by Dan Abrams and features footage of crazy events that happened in real life courtrooms, such as defendants charging after the judge, victims' families charging after defendants, and things like that.

We have an interesting twist as channel 43 will air Judge Greg Mathis' new show Mathis Court at 2p, while WBNX TV 55 will show reruns of his former show Judge Mathis...at 2p.

All in all, the most changes for fall will happen on 43 and 55.

3 is status quo save for the Dateline/Dr. Phil swap.
5 and 8 are making no changes at all
19 is basically the same except for Investigate TV taking over the Cribbs spot

Both 43 and 55 will have lengthy court blocks during the day, as 55 will air The People's Court and Judge Mathis (both now in "Best of" mode) coming over from 43 as 43 loads up on new court shows.

55 will have a supersize game show block from 3p-midnight (fattened up by 6 showings of Family Feud)

43 - through the CW - will also have ACC football this fall as well on Saturdays
