Swift-Mania Drives SNF Ratings

(read this using your best teeny bopper fan girl TikToker voice): "OMG, so did you guys see what just popped up on the Cosmo website? It's a story about Taylor Swift showing up at today's Chiefs game to support Travis!...They're like soooooo obsessed with her!"
(And for the record, no I don't get alerts from Cosmopolitan - this popped up in my news feed on an aggregator site. Honest!)

Taylor Swift Just Showed Up at Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs Game Looking Incredible

Taylor Swift is back in Kansas City for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs game against the Bills today (Sunday, December 10), and showed up looked incredible. The side bangs! Obsessed!

Now THIS is the stuff that gets the true NFL fans so excited, and it's these kinds of reports about the game they really wanna read!

Taylor Swift Pairs Her Coolest Chiefs Merch With a Reputation Miniskirt at Travis Kelce's Latest Game

On December 10, Swift arrived at the Kansas City Chiefs' home game against the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri wearing a leather miniskirt with her coolest piece of Chiefs merch yet: an oversized red and black crewneck with black lettering. She topped of the look with a long wool coat and knee-high stiletto boots, opting to wear her hair down with her newly favored side-bang and signature red lip.
In a video shared by the NFL Network correspondent James Palmer, Swift can be seen arriving as the Bills prepare to take the field—which is definitely a power move. “Imagine getting ready to play a game a football and you’re all ready and focused on your silly game and then Taylor f@#$%g (my edit - MR) Swift walks by you,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “That would be all I would think about. I would lose the game so hard.”

And now this the San Francisco 49ers face the Kansas City Chiefs at the Super Bowl. The last time 49ers fans paid attention to the Kansas City Chiefs was when Joe Montana was sent to the Chiefs before he retired from the NFL. That's because Joe Montana was best known for the times the 49ers were winning championships in the 1980's and 1990's.

Fans are wondering if TS will attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas on February 11. She has a show in Tokyo on the 10th:

Factoring in a private jet and the time change between Tokyo and Las Vegas, yes, it's possible Swift could take the roughly 12-hour flight after the show and make it to Las Vegas well before kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET.

The article doesn't factor in the time difference between Tokyo and Las Vegas. A Saturday night show actually takes place Sunday morning in the Vegas time zone. So it seems unlikely.

It's Kelce's final year before retirement. No longer will NFL highlights feature shots of TS instead of football. The two lovebirds will not switch to TMZ (which also doesn't cover the NFL).

And a gracious good night!

More specifics provided by TasteOfCountry.com:

The standard flight time between Tokyo and Las Vegas is roughly 11-12 hours. Say she's able to leave Japan at midnight (JST) after her show — that would put her in Las Vegas between 11AM and noon (JST) on Sunday (Feb. 11). However, that will actually be between 9-10PM ET on Saturday (Feb. 10), since Japan is 14 hours ahead of the East Coast of the United States, and she will essentially pick up time during her journey.

If Taylor Swift's plane leaves Japan at midnight, and her plane lands in Las Vegas at 9:30 PM, how long will it take a bunch of old people to get mad about her going to see her boyfriend play in the Super Bowl?
Once they see her on TV up in the luxury box? A few milliseconds. About long enough for their synapse to register that she made the game.
Ms. Swift owns a private jet with international distance capabilities. Probably one refuel stop once she hits Seattle, then it's a straight shot to Vegas.

Let's see who Joe Montana thinks should win the Superbowl given that he is the most notable NFL Star who was with both Chiefs and 49ers during his time with the NFL. This is the star that NFL pundits should focus. Taylor Swift how she became a factor in the Super Bowl is interesting but not the one that is a deciding factor who wins the game.
