It is indeed the largest share ever for the station.WNEW 102.7 FM rose from 4.2 in November to 4.9, ... This may be their highest overall rating ever.
Yes !!!!!!!With Christmas music dropping in most markets, year on year, is it time to start pulling it back?
Note that the "December" PPM survey period is in reality, November 8- December 4, so it only reflects about 10 days of holiday music in many cases- especially since Thanksgiving fell later this year and stations like Lite FM that switch right before Thanksgiving might've done so a few days later in 2024.With Christmas music dropping in most markets, year on year, is it time to start pulling it back?
Is The Block receivable in much of the Metro area? I was under the impression they had some coverage issues because they transmit from Jersey also and not Empire State building.NJ 101.5, which isn’t even receivable in much of the Metro area, is close to tying The Block in the overall ratings.
You're a mite early, but your friendly neighborhood IRS agent thanks you.In the meantime : Many happy returns!
"Dropping" is a relative term. First, these were the pre-Holiday ratings. Let's see what happens in the next ratings. Second, the stations that flipped to Christmas music were still double or more higher than they were the previous month, even if they weren't quite what they were in 2023.With Christmas music dropping in most markets, year on year, is it time to start pulling it back?
Only by the theory that all trees must grow to the sky."Dropping" is a relative term. First, these were the pre-Holiday ratings. Let's see what happens in the next ratings. If Aaron Judge hits 58 home runs this year and last year he hit 61, did he have a bad year?
Remember, WFAN spent its first two decades as about the #15 rated station in 12+. But in the same time period, it was pretty consistently the #1 station in revenue.OUCH, WFAN, thanks it part to the crappy Giants & Jets falls from a 3.6 in November to a 2.7 in December as we approach a new year & transition in NY-sports radio with Michael Kay off of PM drive at their main competitor ESPN NY (WHSQ). Also, have to wonder to wonder if having the Jets is hurting Q104.3 (WAXQ) with the drop in ratings from a 6.1 in Sept/Oct to a 5.5 in December.
"Share"... not rating. A 9.7 rating would be, today, about a 200 share.9.7... what a bad rating...
I know it's only 6+ but K-Love is pretty consistently beating The Box. There's got to be something better to program on 94.7
