I'm guessing they probably deliver the show via file, so it's not like they're spending big bucks on low bandwidth (voice grade) satellite time like they used to. If that's the case, the cost of delivering the show weekly to some small station shouldn't be prohibitive, assuming the station has an Internet connection.Ms. Komando and her husband self-syndicate, so anything is possible even if other syndicators wouldn't typically do that.
They had some big affiliates back then, so settling for a small station in the suburbs of Hartford might not have been very interesting to them.
That being said; in my experience running the technical side of an NBA team radio network, unfortunately, the smallest stations are your largest pains in the a$$ to the point where it's just not worth it.
