Houston area radio notes (update thread)

The songs were playing but skipping like audio came in and out.

Well don’t know if you Really was sarcasm 😂.
I listened on my way home, no issues, audio never dropped out.
HD signal can be difficult on some tuners. Never had issues with pro audio equipment like Belar, Sony or Day Sequerra. My old 2003 Pioneer HD radio in my truck is a good tuner. The newer tuners like Sangean and Rolls have issues, signal has to be high and some dont decode the HD1 MPS correctly. The HD1 never locks but sub channels 2-4 do.

I turned HD off on my 2018 ford focus Titanium and KOVE had the same issue. So I’m sure it wasn’t my radio. Might have just been that Pedro Fernandez Song

97.3 FM was airing Church Music in Spanish. Very weak signal, no commercials, just church music in Spanish. Got weaker as I left The Heights. Also 103.3 was airing HUM FM and the guy on air was saying we’re officially 24/7 on 103.3.

It’s Radio Aleluya that was on 100.7 for a bit. I caught them the other night. Seemed to be a different feed from 88.1/89.7

Hearing a very weak K247CX on 97.3 at my Cy-Fair location. Simulcast of KQUE 980 as licensed.

Now we can see if Gow Media files any further complaints, assuming they still actually care about KFNC.

To the sound engineer of LA MEJOR…..

The sound is amazing, I’m speaking of the equalizer. The music that is playing right now with the way you have the treble and bass set up. Sound as if the station was a full FM sounds way better than when it was like grande

I notice that Pacifica has requested (and been granted) the cancellation of the license for KPFT translator K212FV 90.3 serving the Livingston area.
Following up my own post, Pacifica has also requested, and was granted today, cancellation of two translators for KPFA in San Francisco. Cost cutting?

That coverage area barely covered anyone. But every time I drove through there and checked it was never on the air.

Every time I’ve checked the 91.9 translator in Huntsville it was dead air besides 1 time. No idea how the Galveston translator is

Is it the end of soy radio? I just heard a announcement and they said 101.7 FM and 106.9 HD three. No mention of sol radio.
