Did the bar cart only get rolled out for parties, or were you allowed to drink within reason at work? When I was in the Bay Area, some places I worked had a stocked beer fridge but it varied by company.When I was at iHeart in Sacramento (2013-2020), we had a branded bar cart and a branded bubblegum machine:

I've heard stories from people who worked with them, about TV news directors with bottles of alcohol in their bottom desk drawer right around then.I'm trying to remember the last place I worked where alcohol was permitted on the honor system---and I think it was KSLY in 1974.

Everyone under 30 (not me, I'm too old now) doesn't bother with KFI.You and I and everyone else "plugged in" to the industry will miss "live and local" but the average listener will think it's just a change in nighttime hosts.
