They said there apologizing in advance tomorrow..They say at 10 AM. Wonder what it is. Could it be a format flip??? Who knows...Time will tell
She isn't local, she is at one of their sister stations in Michigan. She isn't exactly syndicated either though, at least not in the traditional sense, but she can be heard on a few other stations that they own.that's great news. live and local morning show!
Oh well woody show there flagship station was in Los Angeles so Michigan is alot closer. ProgressShe isn't local, she is at one of their sister stations in Michigan. The Facebook post from the station announcing the change takes a shot at how we don’t need “some guy’s breakfast story from 800 miles away.”She isn't local, she is at one of their sister stations in Michigan. I may be mistaken, but I think she was always doing a separate one anyway. She isn't syndicated and never was, she's just an employee of Alpha (or whatever they're going by now) who appears on multiple stations. She is the programming director at 106.3 in Saginaw (where she also has a show), so I don't think she is going to relocate here to do a morning show, unless PK is on his way out and she is replacing him. I listened a little bit this morning, there was barely any talk at all on it (which I liked!). I don't think it was live either. She probably just records her little bits to go on air for each station and they're spread out into an entire 4 hours. She will be doing a show specifically for 105.1. It is not going to be a syndicated show.
Perhaps she is relocating to Louisville?
Thanks for the answer. As you know I live in LA but Louisville ky is my hometown and what surprised me is when alt 105.1 picked up the show. It doesn't seem cities like Louisville pick up shows on the West Coast. Like when 93.1 in Louisville flipped to hip hop years ago I thought they would go with big boy for there morning show but they didn't. But 105.1 does use Greg beharrel show at night just like 95.5 KLOS does.Hard to tell, Patrick. While there are some costs to a syndicated morning show, it is very likely that at least part of it was barter.
The fact that they went through three different morning shows from 2018 to now is probably more of a reason. While Jubal's departure in 2020 led to the end of "Brooke and Jubal", "Dave and Mahoney" is still available in syndication via Compass (and appears to be stronger than ever) so I can't speculate as to why WGHL dropped them after only two years ... maybe Alpha Media thought Woody was a stronger program since it originates from an Alternative station rather than a Classic Rocker?
It is, of course, possible that there has been negative feedback from listeners and it is also possible that Connoisseur commissioned focus groups before making this decision. It is already obvious that not everything that was happening on the former Alpha stations will automatically continue now.
On a different subject matter the classic hits station in la krth 101 and the classic hits in Louisville waky 103.5 are very different lots of 70s on waky but not on krth lots of 80s. Every market is different.
Unless we have been transported back to 1995 (which in he state of the world today wouldnt be the worst thing) I highly doubt they are wasting "focus group money" on a station that is one of lowest rated FM signals in Louisville.
