Tomorrow night's episode of Wheel will air at its regular time at 7pm EST on WBZ's sister channel WSBK replacing the first half-hour of The Big Bang Theory due to the main WBZ channel airing Patriots All Access.
NFL draft started tonight….that’s probably whyWait...in April? Really?
😄
That's how it is for ABC since they started broadcasting the NFL Draft with Day 2 starting at 7 Eastern, much to the chagrin of many in the East that are WoF/J! fans.It appears ABC affiliates tonight (and maybe last night but I don't want to go searching for it now) are pre-empting the first hour after ABC News for the NFL Draft. I don't remember what is on in my area other than "Entertainment Tonight" but that's not an hour.
According to the listings on their website, the CBS lineup is airing on sister station KSMO 62.KCTV is bumping tonight's CBS lineup for an Angels-Royals game
Day 1 started at 7 Central so no it wouldn’t have been preemptedIt appears ABC affiliates tonight (and maybe last night but I don't want to go searching for it now) are pre-empting the first hour after ABC News for the NFL Draft. Are there a lot of dual affiliates like KUMV up there? It has NBC on 8.1 and Fox on 8.2.FOX Western North Dakota (KFYR-DT2, KMOT-DT2, KUMV-DT2 and KQCD-DT2) same thing as other FOX stations. FOX programming will be on at 10PM
how tolerant are the networks of bumping their lineups to little sibling stations?According to the listings on their website, the CBS lineup is airing on sister station KSMO 62.

Thanks for the info, I haven't been up there in a long time. In Bowman there are relaying antennas (I don't know the actual word for them) on a butte that I think were put up in the 50's according to one of my relatives. I don't know what stations they were or are for. This would have been around 1957 because I still have the 1957 Sylvania Halolite my relative watched the stations on. I know one of them was a CBS affiliate, because he said he always liked watching Captain Kangaroo.Yes
Western ND is one big market with NBC on -1 and FOX on -2. Bismarck, Minot, Williston and Dickinson are in the market and each town has its own set of nets. Other than news and commercials they are the same.
Fargo/Grand Forks is its own market.
The smaller markets are like that with subchannels of networks.
They were probably translators back then. Doing a rabbitears lookup bowman is about 45 miles south of Dickinson. Looks like there is some higher peak between the towers and the town so the translators back then would help get the signals there. There aren’t any translators there now. Thanks for the info, I haven't been up there in a long time. That’s not surprising. There aren’t any translators there now.
You're right, SNL was a rerun. What happened last night?
I only saw one newscast so I can't speak for all the broadcast networks. I record the NBC affiliate's 11:00 news each night but don't necessarily watch. Last night I had a good reason. There is a 10:00 newscast I record because the meteorologists are better than some others about telling us what the low and high for the day were. Anyway, as I fast-forwarded, I saw something on the screen about trump having to be taken out of a building where there was shooting. Amazingly, they never had anything else to say about what should have been a big story. I just decided to wait until the 11:00 news and Trump was on live talking about it. It didn't look like something that was starting at that time, so perhaps NBC interrupted programming to cover it. The news started late with further coverage of what was happening, and then when I checked my recording of "SNL" it did not start on time. It was a manual recording so apparently last night's was a rerun.
It was the same way on WHO 13 an NBC affiliate as well. What happened last night?
