So they are putting just the national feed on 1450 and the local idiots on the FM? Oh that's real smart. The FM will never bill it's potential that way. Would be interesting come Arbitron time of the AM pulled higher numbers than the FM. I couldn't listen to those guys longer than 10 minutes when they were on the Zone. Putting them on an FM signal isn't gonna make it any better.

I agree with you, but I think we're in the minority. Clearly there are plenty of people who like to hear the same repetitive monotony about UK and UL football and basketball all day long.

I'll be perfectly happy leaving my radio dial on 1450 though.

Speaking of Shelbyville, Power 93.3 runs Shelby County High School sports. I've also heard them airing American Legion baseball.

Yes they do, and they do a heck of a job of that. I'd sure love to see them end up with 101.7.

How much is Clear Channel selling 101 and 940 for? Perhaps we could buy it and LMA it back to them.

Lesser signal every game? Isn't 970 stronger than 790?

Yes but the Cards are on 840 when there is no conflict with the Cayuts.

the last time i checked around the internets about our local stations, i think 790 has a stronger signal. but even so, i am in favor of having all of uofl games on ONE station. and it wouldn't break my heart if no more games ever aired on whas anymore because its no longer a louisville station. it's a san antonio station maskarading as a louisville station and ever since joe elliot got replaced with a taped syndicated show i have only set the dial on 840 when uofl is on and when jt the brick is on (after 12 however). even after cc goes private, it will still be a san antonio station maskarading as a louisville station.

i can see cc holding on to 101.7 or trading signals with another station. its because of that contract with uofl. i'm in the eastern part of jefferson county and i can pick up 790 well but if others are having problems they are going to have to hold on to that signal. it was explicitly laid out in that contract as well back when 101.7 was a part of that failed smoov jazz experiment cc had years ago. those were going to be the two local signals that would air the games in case of a conflict. and for that other poster who was wondering, uofl supposedly has network stations in indy, cincy, lexington, and i believe nashville, but i could be mistaken on that last one.

and i really believe that fox sports radio is worlds better than espnradio. that's why i said it.

JT The Brick is on 790. 970 is 5K day and night. 790 is 5K day and 1K night.

thanks for the info, i was not aware.

and i know jt is on 790. that's why i said i listen to 840 after 12. i'd listen at 10 when he starts, but 840 doesn't air the replay of c2c until after 12. it's about the only time i'm not listening to 790. if someone local wants to start a local show that takes the place of jt's show, i would be very grateful. i cannot stand the brickhead. his style grates on me.
