2013 new syndicated shows

I imagine that will definitely ruffle some feathers. Jeopardy and Wheel have aired back to back in that order at 7 on WCNC in Charlotte since 1996 so when/if that changes it probably won't go over well with viewers.

WATL (the My Net affilate in Atlanta) airs Jeopardy at 6:30 and Wheel at 7. Its sister station WXIA airs another run of Jeopardy after a show called Daily 11 at 7.
 
I remember being a kid living in Spartanburg and we had WBTV on our cable systems. They aired "Wheel" and "Jeopardy" up until I think 1990. They were usually together in a 5-6 PM or 4-5 PM block. It started with J! then Wheel at 5 and 5:30, then the order was reversed. I think the block may have moved to 4-5 PM before Wheel switched places with Combs Feud (I think the syndicated version, but may have been the CBS version). "Wheel of Fortune" later aired as a 10 am lead in to "Price is Right". I do not know if they were still airing the syndicated version or if they aired Bob Goen's CBS Daytime version at that time. I think WSOC had both shows for a year after that, then kept Wheel until 1993 while WCNC got Jeopardy (and Combs Feud) in 1991.

Unless J! and/or Wheel were to move to WCCB, WJZY/WMYT, or WSOC/WAXN (or WCNC starts a 7 pm newscast), I think you're safe with WCNC having no sister stations in Charlotte.

I don't see the shows leaving WCNC any time soon.

Wheel went to WSOC around 1990. Jeopardy stayed on WBTV for a few more years and it aired after the Combs Feud at 4:30. Then Jeopardy went to WCNC. It has aired at 7 ever since they acquired it. I think the Combs Feud may have aired on there at 7:30, I know Bill Cosby's You Bet Your Life did, then they got Wheel. An extra run of Jeopardy has also aired in the 4-5 hour on WCNC but they do not currently air it but once. It's too bad they don't air it at 12:30 instead of a THIRD run of Judge Judy.

The CBS daytime version of Wheel never aired on WBTV. They preempted whatever CBS aired at 10:30 for years, instead airing The Price Is Right on a day delay before Top O' the Day.
When Top O' the Day became a conventional half hour newscast at noon and WBTV began airing Price in pattern at 11, they didn't air the hour long Family Feud Challenge. They went with Maury instead. That was when they picked up Donahue from WSOC.
 
WJZY's website reveals Modern Family will air at 7 and 7:30 starting September 23. I would have to think Two and a Half Men will be on at 6 and/or 6:30.
 
We have seen the promos for the Arseniso Hall on WBBJ ABC in Jackson, Tennessee. Wonder what will happen to Frasier and Raymond that used to run in that slot?
 
Much better timeslot for "Community" than we're getting in GSP and Charlotte (but at least Charlotte gets a double run, too). WMYA could really drop some of their talk and court shows and devote more time to the sitcoms they own with better timeslots and/or double runs ("Everybody Hates Chris" ran on the station and got an overnight slot and only one episode daily from day ONE). I wish WHNS or WYCW had gotten the rights instead.

WCCB too. Just prior to the CW switch they replaced the 6:30 airing of How I Met Your Mother with Extra which had aired at about 1 or 1:30 am. How I Met Your Mother now airs at midnight and 12:30 followed by an hour of Raymond. I get Extra at 6:30. It fits after TMZ. But what I don't get is them airing Maury and Steve TWICE EACH during the day, yet Mother is relegated to midnight and 12:30? And before the CW switch and the addition of Bill Cunningham, they had two Springer airings during the day as well. Why can't they have Raymond and Mother on during the day and the repeats of Steve Wilkos and Maury in late night? From 10-4 weekdays is nothing but trash talk. Which is preceded by...wait for it...The 700 Club!
 
What's the deal with the practice of loading an hour block worth of syndicated shows these days? Doesn't it dilute the brand by burning through the series at such a rapid clip? Even staggering the seasons across the hour is weird (an early season show followed by a later season). It seems everyone does this now no matter what show.

KTLA-5 has been running Two and a Half Men for so long from 7pm-8pm that I think they've blown through the Charlie Sheen seasons at least 25++ times by now.

I don't get that as well. WJZY, WCCB and WAXN have aired the same program at 7 and 7:30 for years. As I posted earlier that will continue on WJZY with Modern Family at 7 and 7:30, and as I was going to post anyway, WAXN is picking up "The Middle" at 7 and 7:30.
 
Nelsonincharlotte, where did you find out WAXN has "The Middle."? I've looked on their website, http://themiddleweeknights.com and it doesn't work for me yet. I have seen no stations in GSP promoting the show (I know WHNS won't be airing it, so has to be WYCW or WMYA). Looks like "Middle" and "Modern Family" are going head-to-head in many markets (and often aren't on the same station). If it's to air in the 7-8 pm timeslot, I predict WYCW gets this show unless WMYA drops "Family Feud".

Oh I forgot to mention, WAXN aired a promo this afternoon. It will be airing 6 days a week. (I think Saturday is the 6th day).
 
I have not seen any promos about where The Middle, Modern Family, Community etc will go in Seattle. Only Queen Latifah (on KSTW at 4PM) and Bethenny on KSTW with their online "where to watch" tool.

BTW, crainbebo, I looked it up and saw that KZJO-22 ("Joe TV", your MyNet affiliate) is airing "Community" Mon-Fri at 11 p.m. Not a bad timeslot.
