3/5 Hiring A New Meteorologist

Standing with Gina was Norman, McLaughlin, Horton, Warnecke and Schwartz. No Holly Bock. Makes you wonder is Bock also on a "part time" deal?
Holly is now included with the other weather-guessers in their latest commercial. I saw it for the first time this morning on GMAZ.

"First Alert Weather?"
I've never heard about that on 3TV or CBS5 🤡
They've been using that for a few weeks now. As was stated earlier in this thread, it's a Gray trademark.

On the June 25/26 editions of GMAZ, Paul Horton did weather. He has a cold with a scratchy throat. But still reported the weather for 4 hours each day!

Anyway, Paul, Kylee Cruz and Whitney Clark mentioned a new weekend weatherperson will be starting "in July." They way they talked, it sounded like it would be a man.

Yep, I heard the same thing. Definitely a guy! It only takes 7 meteorogists to forecast the weather on 3/5... I suspect that Holly and the new guy are going to be reporting as well.

Interesting...
According to Sarabia's Facebook posts, he accepted the AZFamily position May 23 and last day on Austin TV was June 17. I don't understand the mystery about it.
Welcome to Phoenix Steven!

He's on-air now doing the noon weather.

How many weather-guessers does one station (OK, actually two) need? What are they going to do next -- bring Dewey Hopper out of retirement?

So as mentioned above, with the addition of Steven Sarabia, Arizona Family now seven member weather team. While they do have a lot of news hours to cover, that's a big staff. Especially with the weekday late afternoon/early evening where you can see Royal Norman, Sean McLaughlin, and Paul Horton within 60 minutes.

While AZ Family website has always been suspect (Steven's page goes to 404) Steven and Holly Bock as listed in the News Team section rather than the First Alert Weather Team section. To me, it seems they are only putting actual Meteorologists there. But we'll see in the upcoming weeks/months.

If you brand stuff several times, people will eventually get used to it, and it become normal.

"3TV, the Place with More Stuff!"
I have never heard a person outside the media refer to Channel 3 with that brand. Nor Channel 12 as "12 News". Nor any ABC franchise as "Eyewitness News".

I think the point is not to tell others, but to internalize it. So, when you think of AZ Family, you think "oh yes, that's the one who has First Alert Weather forecasts" or 1"2 News does a number of charitable events during the year" or "ABC15 has the most accurate forecasts". I don't generally have a conversation with my friends about these brands, but I might mention a report that I saw on Channel 15.
