Uncensored said:HA!!! Are you kidding me? How can anyone even defend this show as anything other than what it truly is- awful?
Spending 3 hours a day listening to a boring, monotone host who really knows nothing about the topics or subject material is someone's idea of a good talk radio show. While you're at it, make sure you throw in the constant talking about her "9-year-old daughter who I adopted from Kazakhstan (because we all needed the reminder every mention)," as well as the shrill voice that yells at disagreeable callers before she suddenly hangs up on them... oh, yeah... sounds like a gem.
My flies on the wall within CC have told me numerous times that she has plenty of people around her willing to help on the show. The problem is that she is so insecure with them actually doing a better job or sounding better if she brings them on the air that she would prefer to go it alone, play the victim, and then complain about it later. There's a reason that she didn't have any specific audio... she won't allow anyone who works on or near her show to do any of that work for her. Did you know that her board-ops aren't even allowed to pick out bumper music to come back from break? Rather than spending her commercial breaks prepping for the next segment, she is too busy searching for obscure music to play that she thinks fits her uneducated opinions.
Not much help should be expected from the PD... after all, that's the same guy who fired Dave Lamont without a viable replacement. Plus, I think "Charles In Charge" is going for some kind of record in actually sinking 2 radio stations simultaneously.
Just because one thinks they have an excuse doesn't mean they should use it. Instead of whining about hosting and self-producing (because you don't ask any staff for help, and the staff that is around strongly dislikes you), just get better. The Miramar compound is already full of talentless morning shows... literally, and The Nicole Sandler Show is one of them.
LOL... tell me how you really feel.
I can't necessarily disagree. Most of my CC moles have been discarded, but I've heard the same things. The Charles in Charge line was fabulous. Very Funny.
Those stations have lost tons of talent in their news/sports/weather depts. over the last 5 or 6 years.
Michael Woulfe, Brooke Austin, Art Riley, Phil Latzman, Dave LaMont, Brian Freeman, Solon Grey, Bob Sandler, John McClaughlin, Jorge Sedano, Jason Solodkin, Aron Bender, Cheryll Reep, Patrick Linfors and I'm sure I'm leaving out many others who contributed to what was once a good product over there on those stations. You know. When they had a real staff.
