95.9 STUNTING????

Between every single song since Midnight Central is a sweeper saying "A Revolution Is Coming......Will You Be Ready?" or "It Will All Change When The Revolution Comes"

Stay Tuned!

5:17am - The "Morning Ride" DJs seem to be MIA so far. The sweepers are shorter. A cover version of the Beatles "Revolution" was just played.

Stay Tuned!

Wow, could it be citadel is making an actual smart move??

Will that mean a change across the entire Ranch network? Classic country is about the only thing that works in the small towns that The Ranch mostly covers.

No, before Jeff asks, I doubt it would mean a switch to Smooth Jazz. Sorry.

Are they upgrading their signal so Dallas can pick this up?

I don't know about upgrading to signal, but the word I get (from a source I trust) is that when all stunting is done, the plan is to take on.........KISS FM

:D :D :D :D :D LMAO

That signal is really weak in Plano, what I am wondering is - could somebody be doing a massive frequency swap trying to move in 95.7? That and 92.9 are about the only good candidates left, unless you consider 102.5, which is already semi-moved in.

"Revolution" eh? I smell another religious format coming.

I didn't say a word. ;)

KFWR has made some stupid moves since the first of the year, but they're not dumb enough to completely switch from country music. They're probably just trying to stir up some attention, but in the end it will mean nothing until they upgrade their signal and move the tower from Mineral Wells to a point closer to FW. To quote Shakespeare, "It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying Nothing!"

btw the cover of Revolutions is done by Reckless Kelly

I love the concept of those stations. Competetive coverage would do so much for them, and Ft.Worth. I also think that Luther King Media has done a great job with 92.1 as well. When I was recovering from surgery a few weeks ago, I logged on and listened to Dave Dumas in the afternoon for hours. He is still one of the best voices in D/FW radio.

This is something I proposed a while back to some snickering - from I think CW. LKCM has almost every piece they need to move it in all the way to Cedar Hill.

All that is left is KBGO in Waco (whose owner, Clear Channel, is over the cap by the way) and the 3rd adjacent rule repeal. That repeal is currently proposed for only LPFMs, but I believe it will ultimately be repealed for all broadcasters (probably in the name of small communities near major markets that have been spaced out of stations).

It is not imminent, but I do believe it will take place in the next 5 years.

You may be right - but for the wrong reason. I'm not sure which 95.9 I'm actually getting in Plano - KFWR, KCKL, or KSCH. All are country, and of no interest to me - but my bet is KFWR. I don't think they can upgrade because of the other two that I really wouldn't even call rim shots, but still close enough to restrict them.

The religious format would come from Garland - there is a translator there on 95.9 for KTXG Greenville - somehow they manage to wedge it in neatly between KFWR, and the other stations to the NE and SE of the metroplex. I don't know why KTXG even bothers - they have a CP for 100,000 Watts and that will do an even better job of covering the NE part of the metroplex on 90.5. Garland listeners right now probably get a better signal on the primary than the translator unless they are a mile from it.

I got a good laugh out of the radio-locator format description of them being "Christian contemporary". Yeah - right - AFR? You GOT to be kidding me, they don't play anything close to CCM! So your prediction of a "religious" format is right for Garland, they are even trying to upgrade that translator. Get ready for preaching and hymns - as if there aren't enough frequencies in the area piping that out right now.

And now the stunting will continue for one week until May 1st, a Thursday. No time has been as yet given.

Wheel of Formats..turn turn turn........

Ok, maybe it has something to do with this...

I dont know much about this stuff but it looks to me like they are moving the tower. Looks like the people in the Stephenville area will be losing out!!!

Here is a link to the application...

As I said, I dont understand much of this so if I am wrong someone please feel free to correct me.
