Just HEard from the Afternoon Chick on The Twister About the Concert Tickets.
Saying if she gave them Away tomorrow [Thursday] That there would be enough
time For you to go Pick them Up

The Way Tickets there work is that u gotta be there Before 5:30 PM the Next Day

SO FRIDAY IT FLIPS!!!!!!!!

so did you think that maybe...maybe...they close the office for pickups and THAT is what she is referring to? No flip on Friday...trust me, there wlll be better clues that this.

This whole flip thing has been teased so much, that I really doubt there's a flip coming at all. What is this at least two, and almost three weeks since the rumor surfaced?

Lame promotions stunt, is all this really is.

Yeah really. I've lost interest. It takes 5 seconds to figure out they are still country - and push the button to something else. If they expect this drawn out stunt to increase interest in yet another (yawn) country station, they are mistaken. Just like the Ranch rumors a couple of months ago. No change. That is what I am expecting here. No change. It would be nice to get 96.7 back as something interesting, though, it is one of the first DFW stations you can start getting in West Texas, pretty solid from Benjamin on into the metroplex.

I heard this from Mr. Sansone that KTYS will not be country.

Hard to believe he said those words to you. He dosnt give up much

Well the Vietnamese hip hop format won't be happening ' Mekong macharina" and "Saigon Stomp" didn't test well. So they have their sites on going after WRR's slice of the pie, yes KTYS will flip to Classical.

That's not what I heard... I heard they are changing the calls to KGAY and playing showtunes 24/7. ;)

Ummmm, yeah. And we can all hear the joke coming down 5th and Main: "Come Out To Pride Radio" :p

Thank goodness for that, there are at least 2 or 3 dozen useless frequencies on my radio between AM and FM playing country.

If they don't hurry up and flip soon - nobody will care because they have all lost interest. One can only be curious so many times and tune over - only to be rebuffed by whiny country bumpkin stuff - before you lose complete interest.

What are the chances it'll flip to Smoooooth Jaaaazzz?

<ducks and covers>

You realize, of course, that the ONLY people who really notice the possibility of anything going on at all are people in radio. The typical listener probably perceives nothing is going on at all.

I suggest this "period of negotiations" concerning the future of 96.7 is being done at the highest level of Citidel in New York and involves some "trusted friends" in Dallas who know the market well and can lend some expertise to the decision process.

Now, speculate amongst yourselves.

I HEARD IT FLIP TODAY!!!....oh wait that was me turning off the radio..sorry.

You guys crack me up, y'all scurry around like little lemmings trying to get the drop on the next big rumor, just let it go already. You guys whine almost as much as Russ Martin.

You'd be surprised what the average listener knows, we know about these boards
